JumpCloud Linux Install
Install the JumpCloud agent on your Linux host.
What this does
To install JumpCloud on your Linux system, log into the host system as root or sudoer and paste the install command into the terminal window. The installer will perform checks, generate a private key and certificate, install dependencies, and download and start the JumpCloud agent.
Steps
Log in as root or sudoer
Open a terminal on your Linux host. Make sure you have root access or can run commands with sudo.
Paste the install command
Copy the command below and paste it into your terminal. Press Enter to begin the installation.
Let the installer run
The installer performs checks, generates a private key and certificate, installs dependencies, and downloads and starts the JumpCloud agent.
Wait for the agent to sync
This can take up to 2 minutes. Once installed, the agent will immediately sync to JumpCloud and appear in your Devices list.

You will be prompted for your sudo password.
Note
This process can take up to 2 minutes, depending on conditions. Once installed, the agent will immediately sync to JumpCloud and be visible in your Devices list.
